System Analyst (Government, Openshift / Kubernetes, 50-70K)
Summary
System analyst on a Hong Kong government project: designing, implementing and operating cloud-native technical services and a workflow engine, automating operational processes, and coordinating cross-team workflow development. Core stack includes OpenShift/Kubernetes, Istio, event-driven microservices, NestJS/Node.js, React, Kafka and Java.
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per month
Job Responsibilities:
Design, implement and manage technical services.
Responsible for operating the Workflow Engine, while facilitating cross-team collaboration and coordination for workflow development.
Coordinate and automate operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Provide after office hours support if required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
At least 6 yrs of experience in application development; with 4 years in system analysis, design, and development of cloud native applications.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Istio, event-driven and microservices architecture.
Familiar with RESTful APIs, NestJS/Node.js, React.js, Kafka, J2EE/Java, NoSQL and relational databases.
Experienced with Agile methodologies.
Experience in developing system modules to support system workflows.
Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
